What is an avatar, you ask? It amazes me at how many people are flocking to see James Cameron’s new film “Avatar”.   We need to examine and take a closer look at what an Avatar really is and the history of the avatar.  Let’s at a look at the definition of an Avatar:

In Hinduism, Avatar or Avatara (Devanagari ?????, IAST avat?ra, Sanskrit for “descent” viz., from heaven to earth, from the verbal root t? “to cross over”) refers to a deliberate descent of a deity from heaven to earth, and is mostly translated into English as “incarnation“, though more accurately as “appearance” or “manifestation”. It corresponds more closely to the view of Docetism in Christian theology, as distinct from the idea of incarnation in mainstream Christology and its implication of God ‘in the flesh’.^{[1 (from Wikipedia.  Copyright)}

Avatars allow you to be “whoever and whatever ” you want to be.  You can be your own God and possibly travel places you have never been.  This is pure witchcraft and enchantment.  2 Corinthians 11:14 says that the devil comes to us as the “angel of light.”  What appears to be “innocent” and “entertaining” may actually be a mirage from satan to allow you to believe that certain science fiction and fantasy themes are harmless.  This is false.  The devil is lying to you.  He has deceived many people into thinking demons, vampires, werewolves, witches, fairies, and other monsters can be “heroes” or protagonists. Satan appeared to Eve in the garden as a SNAKE.  Although is words were convincing (and it worked), that still didn’t change the fact that he is the devil.  Satan is cunning and slick with his maneuvers in Hollywood. Some themes and suggestions may be undetected to those that are not in Christ.

Spiritual Warfare is real, and if we are ignorant of the enemies devices, we can “perish for lack of knowledge”;  Hosea 4:6.  Avatars allow you to be many things and places at one time, which is considered as astral projection.  In Hinduism, you are allowed to be your own “god” and create and possess supernatural powers. Exodus 20:4 says: “You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.”   God clearly makes is apparent that idolatry is wrong..and so is witchcraft.  John 8:44-45 “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire… When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!”  Anything or “power” that does not line up with the Word of God is a LIE.  Please do not allow satan to temp you into thinking that avatars, vampires, werewolves, demons, and other monsters are heroes.  Jesus Christ is our only Hero, and He became our Hero when he died on the Cross of Calvary.  Please wake up and do not be blind to satan’s devices.
